Terms of Service

Last updated: February 10, 2026

1. What Remindy Is

Remindy is an SMS-based reminder service that helps you follow through on commitments. You tell us what you need to remember, and we send you text messages on a schedule you control until the task is done.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Remindy service, including our website, SMS messaging, and any related features (collectively, the “Service”). By using Remindy, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Remindy. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You must provide a valid mobile phone number that you own or are authorized to use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. SMS Messaging Terms

Remindy communicates primarily through SMS text messages. By signing up and verifying your phone number, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from Remindy at the number you provide.

  • Message frequency varies based on your reminder plans and chosen intensity level.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out of all messages.
  • Reply HELP for available commands and support information.
  • Reply START to opt back in after opting out.

You can also manage messaging preferences, quiet hours, and reminder intensity through the Remindy website. We honor quiet hours and will not send messages during your configured quiet period.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using Remindy, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information, including your phone number.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others.
  • Use the Service for lawful, personal purposes only—not for commercial bulk messaging, harassment, or any activity that violates applicable law.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Intellectual Property

The Remindy name, logo, website design, and all associated content are owned by Remindy and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

Content you create within Remindy (task titles, descriptions, notes) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to deliver the Service to you.

6. Limitation of Liability

Remindy is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard to deliver reliable reminders, we cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered on time or at all. SMS delivery depends on carrier networks, device availability, and factors outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remindy and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service—including missed reminders, missed deadlines, or any resulting consequences.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

7. Termination

You may stop using Remindy at any time by replying STOP to any message or by deleting your account through the website.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before doing so, unless immediate action is required.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or through the Service before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Remindy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, reply HELP to any Remindy message or reach out through our website.
