Remindy is built on a simple belief: your data exists to serve you, not us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We will never sell your personal information.

Information you provide:

• Phone number: required for account verification and SMS delivery.
• People, memories, and commitments: the names, facts, and things you owe people that you tell Remindy about.
• Preferences: quiet hours, timezone, and messaging opt-in/opt-out choices.
• SMS messages: inbound and outbound messages, stored to maintain conversation context.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data on the website (pages visited, timestamps).
• SMS delivery metadata (status, carrier error codes) from our messaging provider.

• Delivering reminders and tracking commitments via SMS.
• Understanding your intent from natural-language messages and responding accurately.
• Enforcing your preferences, including quiet hours and opt-out requests.
• Maintaining consent records to comply with messaging regulations.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering and improving Remindy.

• Messages are transmitted through Twilio, our SMS provider.
• We store message content to maintain conversation context and resolve ambiguity in later messages.
• Your consent to receive texts is recorded with the time you gave it, and shown on your settings page.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages immediately.

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate Remindy (Twilio for SMS, our cloud and database providers) and when required by law. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We retain your data while your account is active. Requesting deletion from settings immediately signs you out and blocks further use. We then remove your number, the people you told us about, everything you owed them, every message either of us sent, and any attachment copies. Deletion is complete only after stored files are confirmed gone. We keep no account copy after that, so deletion cannot be undone and we cannot restore it.

We use encrypted transmission (TLS), encrypted database storage, webhook signature validation on all inbound messaging callbacks, and internal access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we’ll notify you of any breach as required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may access, correct, delete, or export your data, or opt out of SMS at any time. Reply HELP to any message to reach us.

Remindy is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. We’ll notify you of material changes via SMS or the website before they take effect.
